We all have more opportunity that ever before for spending “Quiet-Time” with “the God and Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ.” In a previous post, I mentioned Fr. Richard Rohr, a Franciscan brother who is one of the teachers at The Center for Action and Contemplation (CAD). Fr. Rohr is a thoughtful Catholic who combines with deep roots in our faith with a broad and engaging presentation of it. Though I don’t always agree with what he says, I am always stimulated by it. For sometime I have been receiving a Daily Meditation from the CAC, and several of them have been especially helpful as I have been thinking about a personal and pastoral response to the Corona Virus Pandemic. You can find a listing of the CAC’s 2020 Meditations for the Month of March at this Link. I would encourage everyone to read Rohr’s Meditation for March 19, entitled “Love Alone Overcomes Fear.” Therein he writes:
Oct 4 – Drive Thru Communion and Donation CollectionBring your own bread (or crackers and grape juice) to the Drive Thru Communion at 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct 4. We will be collecting donations for Sunnyside Ministry. Canned and pantry foods are always needed.
During the pandemic we have been only holding events in which we can ensure the safety of our members, staff, and community. Check our Upcoming Events tab for more information.
We all continue to watch and to pray for those around the world who are being impacted by the spread of COVID-19. We pray for those infected, the families of those who have lost their lives, those providing care and relief, and those making important decisionsNEW POST EVERYDAY. Check back often.
