July 2018 Worship/Education Series @ 10:30 am

Good News in Worship –  On Sunday, July 1 2018, we will have a combined worship & education starting at 10:30 am. This time change will be for the five Sundays in July. Our Elders and Christian Education Committee have worked together so that our traditional worship will link with an interactive message/discussion in place of the traditional sermon. We will focus on Bishop Clarence Shawe’s booklet  The Spirit of the Moravian Church – taking a look at one of the five characteristics of Moravian Christianity each Sunday.  Copies of Shawe’s booklet are available online (click here) as well as hard copies at church.

On July 1st, Adriana Craver will lead us in a discussion on “Simplicity” in the Fellowship Hall after traditional worship in the sanctuary. During this education time, there will be a separate lesson for children downstairs   This five Sunday use of a creative format is the result of widespread interest expressed in our Faithful Future for Fries interviews and Dream Teams that our worship be lively and inviting to young families while valuing highly our traditional worship liturgies and hymns.
